The clock idea was cames from the birth of the universe, solar system and the atomic movement. All of the three dimensional space from zero dimension, multidimensional world produced after the big bang, the atom will keep movement unless the temperature dropped to absolute zero, the planets in solar system around sun because quality and attractive, and our time is based on the time of the universe, but in fact time did not exist in the universe, time was defined by human, time is relative, it needs a reference boject, why a day is 24 hours? Because humans use the rising and setting of the sun as a reference to time.
